Andrew is an associate at the firm. His work primarily focuses on patent preparation and prosecution in the chemical and mechanical arts. Andrew’s practice includes drafting patent applications and providing patentability opinions. Andrew prosecutes US patent applications and has experience developing prosecution strategies and advising clients on foreign patent prosecution.
Andrew expressed an interest in intellectual property law throughout law school, earning a Certificate of Intellectual Property Law and Technology from the University of Akron. He also worked on the Akron Law Review and published an article on the Federal Circuit’s treatment of Rule 12 dismissals for lack of patent eligible subject matter.
Prior to law school, Andrew studied chemical engineering at the University of Tennessee. During that time, he interned at a company developing renewable energy technology, where he learned about the value of patents and gained an interest in patent law.
