Heeyoung is a technical advisor of Lerner David. Her patent practice covers numerous technology areas, including mobile devices, vehicle components, wireless communications technology, and computer science. She has helped clients with all aspects of patent prosecution.
Industry Experience
Fluent in Korean, Heeyoung previously worked for one of South Korea’s largest conglomerates as a patent engineer, where her responsibilities included discovering inventions, patent prosecutions, patent invalidation research, patent licensing and patent litigations. Her expertise covered diverse business sectors. including mobile devices, home appliances, vehicle components, and wireless communications technology. She was also collaborated with R&D to analyze freedom to operate and managed patent portfolios and patent infringement cases. Her experience also includes working as a mobile software engineer before transitioning into IP field.
International Experience
Prior to joining Lerner David, Heeyoung worked at LG electronics, working with engineers to prosecute patent applications in a wide variety of areas focusing on the US and EP. Heeyoung was responsible for strategically planning and managing large numbers of patent portfolios, providing legal support, and managing outside counsel on various IP issues arising in the US and EP.
