Lerner David founder William Mentlik has joined FedArb as an Intellectual Property Mediator!
FedArb writes:
"FedArb is pleased to announce that William L. Mentlik has joined its panel. Based in Southern California and New Jersey, Mr. Mentlik is one of the preeminent mediators who has resolved complicated, international patent portfolio licensing disputes, including disputes over Fair, Reasonable and Non-Discriminatory (FRAND) licensing rates involving Standard Essential Patents (SEPs).
Mr. Mentlik’s mediation skills stem from his experience as a long-time IP trial and appellate practitioner, where he is a go-to source for high-level strategic counseling on IP matters for clients and their lawyers. Early in his career, he argued the appeal of laser pioneer Gordon Gould, which cleared the way for the issuance and vindication of four broad patents arising out of a 1959 patent application, certain of which dominated significant areas of basic laser technology into the 21st Century. He has conducted numerous trials—jury and bench–involving a wide variety of IP issues in federal district courts throughout the country; and he has argued and/or briefed more than 30 appeals in several U.S. Courts of Appeal, most notably, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit."
